A nice unmolested original example of a hard to find Villager, one of 216 six passenger wagons produced in the short 44 day production run. The car is a 352 4v, 3 speed cruise-o-matic with power steering and power brakes. Was sitting unregistered indoors since 1969, still has the plates on it from that time, I rebuilt the brakes using the original wheel cylinder housings and master cylinder/booster to keep as much of the original parts as possible, brake lines are also new. The differential was disassembled and inspected, cleaned all old fluid out and replaced axle bearings/seals and pinion seal, new u-joints were installed. The carburator was rebuilt and a new fuel pump was installed, still have original fuel pump. The gas tank was removed and sent to Moyers in PA for a complete cleaning which included cutting it in half, media blasting it, welding it back together and sealing it, it was in good shape but was full of varnish and surface rust, it's like new now and has been installed back in the car. The transmission works but has leaks and will require a rebuild due to age. The engine runs but has wiped cam lobes on the number 2 cylinder, this may explain why the car was parked in the first place long ago. Some rust in the front floor area but otherwise very solid throughout, no missing trim or emblems, oddly part of the latch for the rear tailgate clamshell is missing. The picture of the rear shows the handle for the tailgate missing but that was found in the car and installed, it works properly but the second part of that latch assembly for the upper clamshell glass is missing. The windshield is broken from falling debris and there is a slight dent in the roof in that area. The body is very solid showing a few normal dings and scatches for a near 58 year old car, car has an early production date code from September of 59.
